Today we have something for the readers who don’t only gamble. The MSI Summit MS321UP is a monitor made for content creators. You notice this after unpacking at the latest, because you inevitably stumble across a measurement log. This monitor has a factory calibration for the DCI-P3 color space. But that is by far not all. The MSI MEG381CQR Plus from the last article, had plenty of questionable gimmicks. MSI also opened the gimmick box wide on the MS321UP and packed everything into the monitor that wasn’t back in the box at the count of three. So it’s going to be exciting.
Let’s start with the Da Vinci code: MS = MSI Summit Series; 32 = 32-inch display; 1 = first generation; U = UHD resolution (3840 x 2160p) and P = tilt, swivel and adjustable height (no RGB lighting) That’s about it for the review…. No RGB lighting… unbelievable… No, joking aside!
The MS321UP has an LG LCD IPS panel (RGB subpixel layout) with 60 Hz and AMD FreeSync, without any dimming. Still, it has Vesa HDR-600 certification, which is a must have. As we know, HDR – would neither exist nor work without this certification. Okay, I digress. With the Summit monitors, MSI has the Creator Series (highest line) of business and productivity monitors in its current portfolio. For the gamers among the readers, today motion clarity and response times are just a side note. Instead, it’s all about color fidelity, gray scale and extremely cool gimmicks. The MS321UP’s RRP is a whopping 899 Euros. See.
We’re all curious to see whether it’s really worth the money. Let’s take a look at the equipment in summary form:
