in 2012 I bought another machine, which had to create what. Because the orders became more and more and the online store was further expanded. Now you could also order the cooler outside the FRG and have it delivered.
So it was not out of the question that I should develop a water cooler for the Voodoo 5 for a special customer. That I did then also. It did not remain only with a water cooler, it followed also a small air cooler and also a gigantic air cooler. Complete overkill but the good man wanted it that way J
With the MSI 570GTX water cooler, the cooling structure was changed once again, as well as made a bit more flow-friendly during the year.
Towards the end of 2012, I took care of the rebuild of the big CNC. This has not yet been completed to this day. The machine got stronger gantry cheeks, a stainless steel trough, a 50mm sacrificial PVC plate, and a China spindle.
this was followed in 2013 by a benchtable for benching graphics cards. The benchtable is equipped with a 360 Monsta and an Aquastream XT. With this, everything can be supplied in the best possible way. All hoses have an inner diameter of 13mm and G3/8 connections so that not the cooling system is limited, but the cooler to be tested. Furthermore I started to produce table tennis woods for the competition sport. What works quite well and innovative until today. The blades are sold under the label Customblades.
In view of the future was already looked with an eye for a pneumatic tool changer. Therefore I invested in a Boge compressed air unit. As it turned out, the unit was too small because Ibag gave me wrong information. Later I had to order a 3KW compressor with a 160l tank. So I had a small 0,75Kw workshop compressor with 120l boiler. And a milling spindle with pneumatic tool changer that was lying around for years due to a lack of peripherals. The compressor was still insulated for sound.
Towards the end of 2013 it has now also disassembled the bearings of my HSD milling spindle which I have once repaired. The milling spindle could be purchased new for 900€. The service cost me 450€ only in material costs. Later, I switched to Chinese spindles. But not just any. I tested over 15 makes from different manufacturers until I found what I was looking for. In the course of this I began to expand my range with milling spindles.
I imported the good spindles from Asia, checked them for defects, ground and polished the inner cone, and gave the spindles to an electrician who checked all spindles for electrical safety. The spindles are delivered with a certificate of accuracy and test report from the electrician and deliver what they promise. What is advertised is also in the box and can be used far more than 4000 operating hours with proper use. So what the Chinese can’t or won’t do, I take the opportunity to improve and offer.
In the meantime you could order the watercoolers in black screws and a nickel option was introduced. I was looking for galvanizers who could offer this for a good price. However, all of them could not meet my price expectations. So I started to nickel plate myself. The first parts were quite difficult, but after I used new oils the nickel plating is very good since then. This topic was very challenging. I must have tested about 20 different coolants. Tool life, smoke development, cleaning of the parts, price and the possibility of chemical nickel plating had to be guaranteed. In the end, I decided on the expensive version that combined everything else: Blaser Blasocut BC25MD.
