Gaming efficiency
In order to be able to judge the efficiency really cleanly, I also measured the power consumption in detail for each individual benchmark, whose results we already know. But what can we expect if we now put the two values in relation to each other in a meaningful way? How many watts of power consumption does a single frame cost me per second (more or less)? The finding is quite startling, as the card, while nominally low on power consumption, is significantly more inefficient than any of the other Ampere cards in the list, regardless of manufacturer. KFA2’s card is no exception.
Temperatures, fans and noise
The temperatures of the board partner card are absolutely alright with 68 °C, also the newly added hotspot, which is only just over 80 °C. That’s alright so far, because the card still acts quite moderately and doesn’t produce any loud fan noise.
The fact that it remains quite quiet under load is due to the fans, which only spin at a bit over 1230 rpm. You can leave it like that and you won’t find it annoying and distracting from a closed cabinet. With about 34.8 dBA, the card remains pleasantly quiet. Considering the low weight of the cooler, KFA2 has managed to come up with quite an efficient cooling solution.
