Toothpaste is almost the quintessential classic, and it’s a misconception that blue streaks in particular cool better. Then I’ll just use a matching bluish gel for once, at least we haven’t had that yet. Manufacturer doesn’t matter, the stuff is almost always the same anyway.
First comes the obligatory blob on it, then the radiator. Distribution good, but the performance is also rather lousy. After all, the gel works better than mustard and ketchup. The average temperature after one hour was about 76.3 °C at 130 watts. So things could definitely be worse. But also better. But at least a fresh hint of mint hung in the air. Vaporize instead of cool…
Again, the consistency was rather sticky after the hour of full load and good old household acid is used again. It sticks like Loctite, Pattex, and all the ones I forgot here combined. So please don’t copy it, even as a stopgap measure.
