3DMark11
Don’t get confused or see double – we measure all AMD cards with both driver versions. With the use of the new Catalyst 12.11, the Radeon cards unexpectedly push forward and can even overtake the Nvidia cards in places. We would not have expected that in this form. It remains to be seen how AMD optimized the drivers to achieve this astonishing result. In any case, we are more than pleasantly surprised, because we can expect a performance explosion in some places.
Unigine Heaven 2.5
The performance increase via the new driver is not to be scoffed at, AMD has optimized very clearly here as well. We only want to hope that this effort will also have an effect on the games later on and not just remain pure cosmetics for the synthetic benchmarks. We now do without Catalyst 12.9, but add the large resolution with 3 monitors.
Unigine Sanctuary
Here, too, we only measure with the Catalyst 12.11. The increase compared to the Catalyst 12.9 is a bit more moderate with just under 5%, but still visible.
