At the beginning of the year, we already tested a “Max” case from Cooler Master here, but at that time for compact systems with an ITX mainboard. Today, another case follows with the same partially-prepared approach, but for ATX. This is not really my form factor, but our case specialist Alexander needs some time off and my test of the NCORE 100 Max will hopefully make me a good vacation replacement. So let’s take a look together at what Cooler Master is sending into the race here.

Packaging and scope of delivery
Despite weighing a good 14 kg, the large box is easy to carry thanks to the two handles on the left and right, which also makes the letter carrier happy.
And if someone at the transport company has a bad day and throws our parcel across the sorting center into the delivery van, the thick and firm foam blocks should prevent any damage.
Hopefully the delivery person won’t take this statement as a challenge, because the slightly tinted side window made of toughened glass looks much better in one piece than in shards.
The special feature of Cooler Master’s Max series is the components already installed ex works. More specifically, AIO water cooling with an extra-thick radiator and a properly dimensioned power supply unit. Both from the company’s own product range.
Accordingly, there are a few more accessories included than would normally be the case with an enclosure. In addition to rails for 3.5″ hard disks, there are also short sleeves, a power cable and various small parts for installing the water cooling. But aren’t screws for the case itself and cables from the power supply unit still missing?
