With AMD Link comes a quite interesting innovation. AMD Link offers the ability to remotely connect to a friend’s PC and stream through them at up to 144 FPS. At least that’s how AMD advertises it! Especially in times of Corona, where you can’t/don’t/won’t sit in a room with your friends, this via AMD Link is a good thing. But I haven’t tested all that yet. Furthermore, smartphones/tablets (from iOS 12.0 or Android from 7.0) and various TV devices are supported via AMD Link. And as of today, Windows 10 PCs too! If you want to know more, you can have a look at AMD’s homepage here. It is important that all participants use the current version 21.4.1 or newer regarding AMD Link, otherwise connection problems may occur.
The app AMD Link, if installed, can be found under Start. Still nothing works, you need a six-digit code in this case.
AMD Link Server must be enabled (the box in the middle). Picture above!
Click on “Link a device” or on “Link Game”
You have to send the code to your friend or enter it on your device (mobile phone or TV). In that case, I once connected my “apple intercom” to my Benchtable. It’s easy!
I don’t want to go any deeper into the topic of AMD Link at this point. I’ll talk to Igor and see if we can give it a try and look at remote gaming in a separate article. So on to the next topic!
