Conclusion
The Tower 500 is finally a refreshingly “different” case with many cool approaches, high flexibility and a show factor not to be despised. The workmanship can be judged positively throughout and the lush material thicknesses convey a high-quality feel. Thanks to the flexible arrangement, the user also has various options for experimenting with the airflow. If it weren’t for the problem with the possible water cooling internals.
Regarding the fan slots, Thermaltake also overlooked something during the development – the case is anything but compact, but still only offers limited space for rather small radiators and the side mounting of a 360 radiator is quite a bit fiddly. On the other hand, the HDD/SSD slots are very well positioned (if you still need something like that) and the space in the false bottom and behind the motherboard makes cable management quite easy.
All in all, the Tower 500 does a lot right and those looking for a change from the usual 0815 layout could be quite happy with this case, if they don’t want to open the Olympic Water Games.
