The results were so far top and I was (very) satisfied, however, was on the GPU only MX-4 paste on it and the stupid property has the uneven (cooling) surfaces to run off sooner or later, ie bleed out… So I disassembled everything again and took the opportunity to replace the Minus8 pads (8W/mK), which somehow didn’t seem to perform as well as the Arctic thermal pads (6W/mK) that had been used on other occasions and had suffered from the tests anyway, which didn’t make things any better.
Because of the P/L recommendations and the performance of the EC360 pads in one of Igor’s videos, I decided to test the low-cost EC360 Blue (5W/mK) and use it for the second and (hopefully) last disassembly and assembly of the 6700 XT. Furthermore, I had to make another small change to the radiator: The contact surface was anything but flat. So the cooling surface was ground until it was flat, which I always test with a rather proprietary method: a 30 x 30mm glass cube!
