Watch Dogs 2: 30 graphics cards in the benchmark marathon

We don't want to dramatize it, but without a clever underplower, Watch Dogs 2 doesn't do much. Living more beautifully or falling by the wayside? In the first few hours, the game convinced us to a large extent, both in terms of content and graphically. The recruitment options offered are manifold, self-explanatory and, above all, mostly really effective. Of course, besides all the beautiful chocolate pages, there are also some points that left us a little perplexed or. have been rather thoughtful.

Visually, we noticed the annoying edge flicker, especially in the movement, which can be reduced quite well, but then costs performance and above all details. Almost as a contrast program, there is by far the most beautiful water we have seen in a game for a long time. The handling of the vehicles is of course the most bitterly evil arcade, but fits with the often quite flap-like dialogues and the absolutely stiff characters.

That you stumble over the online compulsion from time to time, because the great anti-cheat tool just doesn't want to die, even if you think you're really offline – sponge over it. The fact that you – even if you can't follow the normal game sequence when benchmarking – then fall back on the desktop from time to time, is annoying and unfortunately also costs time.

For the rescue of honour, it must of course be said that this summary was created immediately after the benchmarking and is certainly also somewhat emotional. Because one thing you have to leave Ubisoft, even if some things haven't opened the nerve of the users: The game finally feels ready – and that is unfortunately far from self-evident nowadays, for example in games like Mafia 3 and the problems that have arisen there, which reached as far as partial unplayability.

Conclusion

If you put some effort into finding the optimal settings, invest some time and don't exactly apply the family hardware in the third generation, watch dogs 2 will not experience a break landing, but will be satisfied.

The open world looks chic, is easy to explore and is really fun in its entirety.

Thus, after so many oddities of the almost past year, this game is finally a stable house number again. It's also nice that we were finally able to write this again.
