With the new Prime series, Steelseries wants to offer performance-focused peripherals that have (once again) been developed together with eSports professionals. The lack of flashy lighting, visual bells and whistles, and the otherwise rather simple design will certainly appeal to normal gamers as well. What the new mouse can do is revealed in the following article:
Packaging and scope of delivery
Here again we see the grey-orange cardboard, only with different pictures and texts. In fact, this time it does not remain with the large product picture on the front, on the side there is also a side view and on the back the bottom of the mouse in large.
Enclosed in a plastic holder, the mouse should survive the journey to your computer just fine.
The scope of delivery is limited to the mouse itself, a detachable USB A to Micro-B cable and a manual. Again, I’m surprised that the more expensive mice don’t come with an additional set of glide feet when even much cheaper alternatives include them. There is no mouse symbol or icon on the USB port to allow quick identification of the cable on the back of the computer.
Specifications
Here is the overview of the technical details of my version of the mouse, more information can be found on the product page at the manufacturer.
I will discuss the other variants of the Prime Mouse separately later.
