While AMD has already shown the reference cards of their Radeon RX 7900XT(X) several times and also confirmed the launch date for the 13th of December 2022, you might have to put a question mark behind the real models and quantities available on this day. While some sources speculate with only 10,000 reference cards each for EMEA and proportionately about 3,000 cards each for Germany, the picture is probably even more unclear for the board partner cards. Some of my sources in Hong Kong and Taiwan are still reporting driver and BIOS problems and delays in delivery.
Of course, the information should always be viewed with a certain degree of caution, but you can recognize certain trends from your own working environment. These terminations are then actually always also the best indicator of what one can perhaps consider plausible and what not. Of course, there are always NDAs involved, so I can only refer to statements from third parties and have to remark on the “grain of salt”. Due to various problems, one of the big exclusive partners is supposed to start shipping only shortly before the launch, so that an availability of about one week after the launch could be expected. Another large but non-exclusive AIB even doesn’t see its card as available until January, after the new year.
You also have to distinguish between PR material (there are already quite a few render images and leaked photos on the Internet) and real physical mass production. Much of what appears to be available in this way, with a bit of bad luck, probably won’t be. At least not to this extent. Another source wrote me about concrete driver problems, where memory leaks are said to have occurred that could affect performance and lead to freezes, which is also said to have caused delays.
Since I have trusted this source for over 10 years, I would also look at all benchmark results leaked so far with a lot of caution and possibly also call them “not optimal”. Because some things could already be refuted quite clearly days ago, quasi under the table. Here we have to wait for the day of the official reviews and it remains somewhat exciting. This also affects the actual launch and availability, including the then also fixed prices.
