The following benchmarks were deliberately based on the results of our roundup for the GeForce GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 and used the correspondingly frozen image of our test setup for these maps for better comparability. In the end, it was all about who is faster – the GeForce GTX 1070 Founders Edition, which is permanently stuck in the temperature target, or our optimize GeForce GTX 1070 Katana from Galax, which is only trapped in the power limit.

In the end, the competition ended, albeit narrowly, in favour of our optimized map. The reasons are also understandable, because while the temperature target is permanently attached to Nvidia's card and thus also ensures consistently low boost clock rates, the somewhat more flexible Power Target is ideally suited, the boost at least partially already to speed up significantly.
