Color-Performance, Brightness Comparison and Power Consumption
The Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 can – who would have thought it – achieve the same maximum brightness in SDR as the MEG342C. In terms of minimum brightness, the OLED G8 is significantly brighter. However, the 65 nits are still quite dark for my taste.

Fresh out of the box, the Odyssey OLED G8 doesn’t really perform well in terms of sRGB. The peak power consumption of the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 is slightly higher than that of the MSI MEG342C. However, when gaming or watching movies, you won’t go over 60 watts on average. That’s all that needs to be said. Let’s continue with calibration…
