KFA2 RTX 2060 Super EX 1-Click OC Review – Good things doesn’t have to be expensive

Summary

Also the KFA2 RTX 2060 Super EX is once again a decent card at a fair price and there is also almost nothing to complain about. This is relatively rare, because something is always, but here it fits easily. A little tip on the side: you can also buy the 20 Euro cheaper card and re-flash the BIOS, but you have a slightly simpler cooler there. Nice, some things are still a good cost-down at the EX, but things like a second BIOS or a non-RGB-illuminated backplate will be easy to hurt. Many others do not have that either.

The board layout dispenses with the expensive Smart Power Stages, which is even quite clever, because the separate MOSFETs for the high and low sides triple the area to be cooled, the heat density is reduced dramatically and the whole part stays really cool at the end. UBIQ’s MOSFETs are ok and quite reasonable in price. Compared to the RTX 2070 EX, KFA2 relies on other coils, which has even been positively noticed.

The look fits, the performance also. Seen in this way, this card is a very good alternative to Nvidia’s Founders Edition and more than just a low-cost entry-level card. You can live with it very comfortably, even if it is not the image bomb par excellence. But it is once again a solid product, which also does exactly what you paid for at the counter quite nicely.

I quickly summarize what I wrote in detail on the last pages, because the reader always needs a little reminder. And for the typical first-last-page readers, I would even have the hidden hint that it is well worth reading the rest in between. It is more interesting than you might think 😉

Per Cons
Good and quiet cooler
Ordinary components installed
Acceptable board layout
Clean processing
Not too big and heavy
Moderate RGB lighting
Good price point
Light low-frequency vibrations

Conclusion

Well, overclocking is nuptitible with this card, which doesn’t allow much room for the power limit. The 2 GHz are nice, but you suck disproportionately more at the socket than you can really see a performance increase. Because even if it might have been 10% more performance, a GeForce RTX 2070 Super isn’t hitting it. But the “old” RTX 2070 FE is already quite after the Pelle, after all.

And otherwise? The card does exactly what it is supposed to do without suffering from snaps or heatstrokes, and even quite quietly. The placement of the components is due to the price point, but this circumstance can and must surely be accepted in view of the retail price. The bottom line is that you even get the better package than the Palit RTX 2060 Super Ghost, whose cooling was a little tight.
