It’s clear to everyone that, for the most part, a laptop doesn’t come close to a desktop PC. This is particularly noticeable when you want to play games or use more powerful applications. Here you can clearly see that performance and quality are already limited. A gaming laptop can help, but even here there are severe limitations in some areas. However, the problem can be easily solved by getting an external GPU housing (eGPU for short). The solution is the Cooler Master MasterCaste EG200, which we will be taking a closer look at today
Unboxing
The eGPU comes in a simple and plain cardboard box. The package is already somewhat damaged, as it was delivered by courier, but that’s familiar.
So we receive a powerful case that is less suitable for transportation, but actually only functions as a stand on the desktop at home. In the box, it was neatly protected on the sides with polystyrene, so the housewife is naturally delighted.
The scope of delivery also includes a small accessory box containing the power supply cable, a USB-C cable, a Thunderbolt cable, an adapter for USB-A to C as well as various cable ties and two screws to mount the graphics card. In fact, the power supply unit is already installed, which saves you some work. This is a Cooler Master V Gold SFX (550W) part.
