AMD today announced two new professional graphics cards, the Radeon Pro W7600 and Radeon Pro W7500. Both cards are based on the new RDNA 3 architecture and offer a range of features that make them suitable for a variety of professional applications. AMD thus rounds off the product family at the bottom. A Radeon W7700 has not yet been colped, though there is still a huge gap between the two groups, where a possible Radeon Pro W7000 for around $1000 to $1200 would still easily fit.
The Radeon Pro W7600 is the more powerful of the two new cards and features 32 compute units, 2,048 stream processors and 8 GB of GDDR6 memory. It offers performance of up to 20 TFLOPS and bandwidth of up to 288 GB/s. The Radeon Pro W7500 has 28 compute units, 1,792 stream processors and 8 GB of GDDR6 memory. It offers up to 12 TFLOPS of performance and up to 176 GB/s of bandwidth. The Radeon Pro W7600 and Radeon Pro W7500 are available now. The Radeon Pro W7600 is priced at $599, while the Radeon Pro W7500 is priced at $429.
Both cards have a number of features that make them suitable for professional applications. These include support for DirectX 12 Ultimate, OpenCL 2.1 and Vulkan 1.3, and they also have a number of security features, such as AMD Secure Workstation and AMD Enterprise Security. The Radeon Pro W7600 and Radeon Pro W7500 offer significantly better performance than their predecessors, the Radeon Pro W6600 and Radeon Pro W6500.
The Radeon Pro W7600 is up to 50% faster than the Radeon Pro W6600 at processing CAD data and up to 30% faster at processing 3D models. The Radeon Pro W7500 is up to 40% faster than the Radeon Pro W6500 at processing video footage and up to 20% faster at processing AI models.
The Radeon Pro W7600 and Radeon Pro W7500 have a number of features that make them suitable for professional applications. These include:
- DirectX 12 Ultimate, OpenCL 2.1 and Vulkan 1.3 support
- AMD Secure Workstation and AMD Enterprise Security
- 4 DisplayPort 2.1 connectors
- 1 PCIe 4.0 slot

Announcement of the new workstation benchmark overview
How fast the entire product line is, even compared to the competition, will be clarified by a large workstation test, for which I will then bring up the full versions of the very large software suites. From Inventor Pro and PT Creo 9, to Solidworks 2022 and AutoCAD 2024, to Premiere Pro CC, Photoshop CC, After Effects CC and Blender, it’s all there. In addition, there are some standard benchmarks and some GPGPU Compute. Of course, all this takes time, because the benchmarks run for at least 24 hours per card and most of it can’t be automated. But it can be completed nicely, so that I can add my old stock of previous models bit by bit.
