Today’s unveiling of the Alphacool Apex Stealth Metal Fan (Pro) completes the circle of long development, various pre-announcements and influencer pirouettes, as the part has finally arrived in mass production and is also now available for pre-order. Of course, we live in a time where even a trivial new screw cries out for attention by splitting the product release into left-hand and right-hand threads and also presenting the respective colors individually.
At least Alphacool spares us this media circus, even if it still takes a while until the final delivery. The reasons lie in the new design, which requires completely different conditions for production than those of conventional fans. But Alphacool is at least serious as of today and I may also spoil that a large part will be manufactured in its own factory, which Alphacool has built up in China in recent years.
But let’s get back to the fans. Initially, the fans will be available as 120 mm fans in the colors chrome, gold, white and matte black, but due to the special coatings of the metallic frame, many other colors are also envisioned and feasible. The fans will also be available as normal and Power variants, with the difference limited to the maximum speeds increased from 2000 rpm to 3000 rpm. The rest is the same.
But I will of course be able to write much more about this in the review, because I have also examined the material. Last but not least, Alphacool relies on a very low-vibration 6-pole motor in the impeller with the 9 rotor blades, so that in total a truly novel product was created, which can shine with very low noise emissions at high volume flow and static pressure. Since we were able to test these fans again and again in the run-up and thus also had a good insight into the development phases, I may antease the article including many further details today. Depending on the amount of text, the full review will be published tomorrow (or Tuesday at the latest), including the entry in our fan database.

And I may already spoil once that I looked at the fans not only once in amazement to check if they are really still running. And these are the first fans where we also reached the limits of the equipment and our premises in terms of evaluating the noise emission in the range of startup speeds. The diagrams shown today are from Alphacool’s marketing material, and of course the rest can be found in the article:
The fans are available for pre-order from the usual suspects and, of course, Alphacool itself for around 30 euros starting today at 13:00, with the power variant with the 1000 rpm more on the speedometer costing no extra. Of course, not every user will need the entire speed range, so the normal variant can be regulated as usual and thus fits perfectly to the preset fan curves of almost all motherboards without any reworking in the settings. If you like it stormier, you are welcome to use the power version, so today’s pre-order starts with a total of 8 fans and there should be something for everyone.
