Powerful, cool and loud: Zotac GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Amp! Extremes in the test

Summary

Where should we start in order to remain objective and fair? If a product comes with a completely loveless fan control and already in idle the same fan speeds as with Furmark in the closed housing, then something has gone terribly wrong. The fact that as a result of the stormy air lift the board temperatures are very low is a gift. That would be different.

This lapsus, in which the opinion from the headquarters could not convince us, counteracts an actually potent card, which could have been much more if the manufacturer had followed his own standards of past cards. In the end, however, it is only an extra cool, very loud product, which can still be heard clearly from an insulated housing even when idle. It is a pity, because otherwise the card does not make a cheap impression, but rather a solid impression.

You also have to be able to deal with the high weight and the length, if the noise does not force you to your knees. If you have something to do with crafting, you can remove the top cover and fans and attach your own fan solution. But do you first have to purchase such a card, even if the result performs extremely well?

Per
Balanced
Cons
– optimal Power Target
– only quiet coil fiep
– good OC potential
– 1-Click-OC, but only by software
– Processing
– no real fan control
– very noisy (especially in the idle)
– relatively heavy
– VRM cooling not optimal

Conclusion

The problem of all GeForce GTX 1070 Ti also applies to the Zotac card to the full extent, because there are no more unique selling points in the performance. It doesn't matter if it's an amp! Extreme or forest-and-meadows 1070 Ti is, the limits when overclocking, as well as the actual performance from value are unfortunately always the same within a certain tolerance range. Here, GPU lotto and room temperature alone decide, the rest is just a nice accessory.

We can't give a recommendation because of the completely presamated fan control, because the card is just way too loud. this could and should have been solved better, regardless of the time, because the competitors did not have them either.
