When I was handed a pair of Chinese true wireless in-ear headphones for under 50€ last year, I was more than skeptical. However, it quickly became apparent that the SoundPeats brand is very much a serious competitor. Just like last year’s two models, the Life Classic, which is even more affordable, also delivers an extremely impressive low bass to the listener’s ears. Read in the test whether the rest fits as well.
It is certainly not entirely unfounded that people are often skeptical about cheap “Chinese goods” at first. It’s not uncommon for cheap knock-offs to disintegrate into all their individual parts as soon as they’re unpacked, or they don’t even begin to live up to the promises printed on them. But in fact, not everything from the Far East is also equal to core scrap, as SoundPeats itself and also other manufacturers have already impressively proven several times.
After the first encounters last year, I remembered SoundPeats as a likeable and inexpensive manufacturer of “decent” earbuds, and I’ve been using the then-tested T3s at least twice a week on the train ride to university since the review. So far, there are no failures to report either in terms of functionality or battery life. By the way, this also applies to the Air 3, which my wife occasionally uses for watching TV and sports. We will probably never know why exactly SoundPeats launches so many models on the market that have practically identical specifications at second glance. However, it is a fact that the base is quite solid and offers decent performance for a small price. So let’s take a look at the new Life Classic.
Unboxing
The lady on the cover does the same to Earbuds and also only changes the outfit.
Finally, the back of the package depicts the actual contents of the package.
A molded foam lies in the cardboard box, which securely beds the Earbuds protected in the charging case.
The package contents:
And freed the Earbuds from their charging station:
There may still be room for improvement in terms of the gaps, but overall you can clearly see where the journey is headed. At least as a “non-disciple”, I immediately have to think of the manufacturer with the bitten fruit in the logo here.
The presentation is successful and the workmanship is absolutely okay. There is even a CE test mark in the opened lid.
