Such a test is definitely exciting, because even the onboard graphics of modern CPUs or APUs were sufficient for pure video playback in HTPCs back then. On the other hand, if you wanted to play a small game on a modest scale 10 years ago, these solutions were all still too underpowered at the time and it was better to resort to a separate graphics card. But what could you really pull off with these three VGA dwarfs? An exciting review of a completely different graphics card world…

In order to find out, we put the cards into a practical case and also use the older Core i3 2310, a widespread and inexpensive CPU. We therefore do not measure the temperatures in an open setup, but under absolutely realistic conditions.

In the end, we will test what two of these cards are capable of in a Crossfire team. After all, 100 watts of waste heat are just about acceptable if you really want to stay passive in cooling.
