According to the latest sales data from TechEpiphany, NVIDIA has already sold 545 models of the RTX 4070 Ti in the third week of January. This primarily includes all variants sold by the German retailer Mindfactory. This number is higher than the RTX 4080 and RTX 4090, which totaled 210 and 190 units, respectively….
The fact that so many RTX 4070 Ti cards were sold in one week also means that this number exceeded the sales of all Radeon RX 7900 XTX, RX 7900 XT and Intel Arc A770/A380 combined. The latter is currently selling particularly poorly with only 20 combined sales of Alchemist GPUs. The RX 7900 series lags well behind NVIDIA’s RTX 40 GPUs with only 300 XTX cards and 200 XT models sold. However, the RX 7900 XTX, which was positioned as a direct competitor to the RTX 4080, managed to sell 110 more units, and that too despite the fact that there are currently far fewer custom designs of the card available.
In addition, AMD sold 410 units of the Radeon RX 6700 XT and the NVIDIA RTX 3060 sold even better with 485 units. These numbers show how important the upper mid-range segment is at the moment, but neither AMD nor NVIDIA have implemented their next-gen plans for this segment yet. The third competitor, Intel, has only sold a whole 10 units of its Arc A770, which is offered in a similar price and performance segment.
