NVIDIA: Jensen Huang promises a 'special event' at SIGGRAPH 2018 in Vancouver

Nvidia's CEO Jen-Hsun "Jensen" Huang is not an official speaker at Siggraph 2018 in Vancouver (12.08. 16.08.2018), but obviously always good for a surprise.

For example, an event is scheduled for 13.08.2018 at 4 p.m. local time, which he himself will moderate. The live stream is already registered on Youtube and anyone who has some patience will be able to see for themselves what is new to announce on 14.08.2018 at 01:00 CET.

Now the Nvidia CEO is only ever there when there is really something important to announce and this will certainly not be a new connection tandard for monitors or VR glasses.

Surely he won't be heading for the latest leather jacket fashion, but rather to announce something in the direction of realizing the latest graphic innovations and how artificial intelligence can change our lives.

If you can't or don't want to do the long night of keywords for reasons of time, you can also relax on our website, because I will also be on site at siggraph this year and – I can certainly already spoil – not only about the events and news on site, but can also offer one or the other exclusive test report afterwards.

Although machine learning, AI and workstation stories are still largely media-technical niches, we also want to address these important challenges in terms of content.

I don't want to join the usual speculations as to whether the whole thing will be called Ampere, Turing, Guglhupf or otherwise, or whether it will be about Quadro cards or not, because it is really only annoying.

Let's just wait and see what comes and what doesn't. At the latest in the middle of the middle or at the end of the month, we will all be smarter. I will hold up the flags of Tom's hardware on both Siggraph and Gamescom, even though I can't really see suitcases anymore.
