MSI MPG Sekira 500G – When system construction becomes a sporty activity

With a proud price of currently 189 euros, the Sekira 500G is in the upper class of PC housings. But the Big Tower also wants to be filled, otherwise normal ATX hardware looks almost lost.

Positive: Negative:
+ very good workmanship, noble design
+ extraordinarily well packed
+ Dust filter on all sides
+ plenty of space for systems with water cooling
+ high capacity for hard drives
+ 5x Front USB 3.0
– double disc with no real function
– little distance from the disc for vertical graphics cards
– "holes" in the front
– Hand screws were very tightly tightened, partly screwdrivers needed to loosen
– Double grille in the lid can hinder airflow

Without listing it as a point of criticism, I would like to mention it again: Due to the size and weight, it is not easy to build a system in the housing. In hindsight, it would probably have been much easier to place the case in the middle of a small table and move myself around the case instead of moving the case over and over again. Overall, I like the Sekira 500G, the polished aluminium edges in gold and the minimalist, simple design really make a lot of.

Additional hardware in gold is also available from MSI, but again for premium prices. The target group addressed here may be quite small, but such housings are always interesting and worth a look. Next comes the MEG X570 ACE motherboard and the R9 3900X – more on that soon, sequel to follow!
