MSI Clutch GM41 and GM41 Wireless Review – Lightweight Gaming Mice with and without Tail

If you saw my Sunday unboxing article about the two MSI monitors, you already know what’s coming today. Let’s take a look at the two identical twins. MSI has not missed the ultra-light gaming mouse bandwagon and has also launched two derivatives. The MSI Glutch GM41 Lightweight V2 (that’s a mouthful) and the MSI Glutch GM41 Lightweight Wireless. I love these sorry to pronounce names. Don’t you? Jokes aside and here we go….

Packing

The two mice come in MSI-typical packaging and are well protected inside. Also from my point of view it would be nice if the plastic parts could be replaced by cardboard (see below in the picture gallery). But that’s just my opinion.

On the back you will find the essential data for the respective product. Here, MSI has installed two good known optical sensors inside the mice.

So if the two mice are not related, then I don’t know. MSI has virtually turned the wired mouse into a wireless version. I think that’s basically very good, because if the design fits and the customer likes it, you save on further development costs. I find it difficult to store the dongle in the charging station. It seems kind of ok at first glance, but if you have the storage station installed on your main system, you probably won’t take it with you. You take a second micro USB cable and dongle with you. It would have been better if you could have hidden the dongle in the mouse.

Guter und ausführlicher Test.
Ich versteh nur nicht warum die Hersteller immer diese blöden Ladestationen nutzen. Wenn die Maus leer ist oder fast leer ist kannst Däumche drehen spielen bis det Teil wieder geladen ist. Ich hab mir aus diesem Grunde eine Logitech G Pro Wireless gekauft weil ich bei der einfach das Ladekabel anschließen kann und munter weiter zocken kann ohne Wartezeiten und das Akku hält gefühlt ne Ewigkeit

Du kannst die MSI GM41 natürlich auch mit Kabel betreiben. Das mitgelieferte USB Kabel ist dafür aber viel zu unflexibel. Da würde ich mir ein extra fluffiges Kabel holen!

MSI Dragon Center und MSI Center?
Ich dachte, das "mit" Dragon ist veraltet und das neue ist das "ohne" Dragon?
Ich fand das "mit" schrecklich und das "ohne" soweit ok, als ich noch ein MSI Board hatte.

So wie ichs lese und interpretiere, hast du beide Mäuse gut 4 Wochen intensiv getestet? Wenn ja, dann find ichdas super, weil so n Test ist ja nicht an nem halben Nachmittag "durcherlebt".

Habe die MSI Clutch GM41 Wireless selber in gebrauch und kann sagen das der Akku wirklich lange hält (nutze ca. 4-5h am Tag, lade alle ca 2 Wochen auf.), kann die Maus nur empfehlen für den Preis. Die Maus ist wirklich schön leicht und präzise ... MSI Center nutze ich eh schon alleine wegen MoBo und GraKa, komme mit der Software eigentlich ganz gut klar aber das NoPlus Ultra ist es nicht.

Sollte die Maus mal wirklich leer sein kann man sie binnen 30 Min wieder auf ca. 70% laden und wieder lange nutzen, auch eine Kabel nutzung ist dann möglich allerdings ist das Kabel nicht perfekt dafür ausgelegt.

Ich bin zufrieden mit der Maus und das schon fast 12 Monate.

Ich nutze ja aktuell immer noch die G602. Eine Kabelmaus geht für mich schon seit 10 jahre nicth mehr, also nach dem ich 14 Tage eine Funkmaus hatte.

Die GM41 Wireless sieht erstmal interessant aus. Positiv fällt mir auf das die Akkulaufzeiten langsam wieder etwas größer werden.
PS: 80h ist imo nicht viel. Meine MX am Arbeits PC läuft mit 1 Eneloop Akku 500h. Die G602 hat mit 2 AA-Akkus 120h/250h, gut die ist dann viel schwerer, deswegen nutze ich nur 1 Akku, also 60h im Perfomance modus mit 2500dpi. Aber die Maus ist halt auch fast 10 Jahre alt.

Was mir auffällt, das dpi Wettrüsten geht immer nochweiter. 20000 dpi ?!
Schaffen die das oder sind das irgendwelche wild interpolierten Werte ala Digitalzoom bei Kameras?
Gibt es ein Anwendungszweck dafür, außer, weil es geht ?

Mehr als 3000-5000 kann man doch kaum nutzen. Am 8K Bildschirm vieleicht auch 6k-10k dpi. Aber so richtig Standard sind 8k Monitore glaub noch nicht ;-)

Wird bei der Wireless-Variante beim Anstöpseln des USB-Ladekabels das Signal weiterhin über Sender übertragen oder übers Kabel? Wenn letzteres zutrifft, wäre es ganz interessant ob dann die Latenz auch identisch mit der kabelgebunden Maus ist.

Für eine leichte Gaming Maus ab Werk ist das schon ordentlich.

Eine Logitech MX Master 3s kommt natürlich weit darüber, aber dafür hat die auch nur 125Hz Polling und Latenzen des Todes.. Das macht alles schon einen Unterschied.
