I have changed the title a bit, because we don’t want to provoke clickbait. But the meaning will make itself clear in the further course of the test report, one way or another. There will be a happy ending! If you want to get started with 3D printing, there is something really interesting to read today. But let’s start at the beginning, Elegoo recently introduced the Neptune 4 and 4 Pro. And apparently, the goal was to put together a really very tempting overall package on paper. We’ll take a look at how much of it made it into the real world in the following article.
Packaging and scope of delivery
The printer is delivered in a large, brown cardboard box including its own parcel tape. We are already familiar with this from other printers, where quite sturdy cardboard was also used.
Hopefully, it has fulfilled its function, because on the way to me there seems to have been an impact on the bottom left corner.
Further protection is also provided by the thick layer of black foam inside. The upper half of the package contains the accessories, gantry and instructions.
One layer further down is the base with print bed and display. Thanks to the considerable thickness of material between the outer edge and the contents, everything seems to have remained intact.
As you can see, the included accessories are quite lush. We have various cable ties, a needle for cleaning the nozzle, a plastic spatula and pliers. Tools for assembly, 512MB micro SD card including reader, 8GB USB stick from Netac and two replacement nozzles are also included. And of course a power cable and some PLA with optimized properties for fast printers.
Before you start assembling all the parts, here’s an overview of the technical specifications of this printer. More information can be found on the product page of the manufacturer.
