The validation via LG Calibration Studio
After the calibration is finished, please make sure that the corresponding Calibration 1 or Calibration 2 is selected in the OSD. You open the LG Calibration Studio software again and go to Validate. Follow the instructions and after about 10 minutes you will have the result.
As soon as the validation is finished, you can save the protocol as PDF. Since I calibrated the LG 27GR95QE three times, we can now look at the results.
Calibration 1 sRGB, D65, Gamma 2.2 at 200 Nits
(Calibration and validation with SpyderX)
To get a second opinion, I did some additional validation with ColorChecker Studio and DisplayCal:
Calibration 2 P3-D65, Gamma 2.2 at 200 Nits
(Calibration and validation with ColorChecker Display Plus)
Here is still the validation via DisplayCal with the ColorChecker Studio:
Calibration 1 sRGB, D65, Gamma 2.2 at 200 Nits
(Calibration and validation with ColorChecker Studio)
Here is the validation via DisplayCal with the ColorChecker Studio:
From my point of view, the results are “ok”. The short validation with LG’s own software is of course not in proportion to the obviously much more detailed validation with DisplayCal. But, the results are not that far apart. I would now be interested in the opinion of the professionals. What do you say to the results? The calibration of the P3-D65 is much better than the software calibration with Calman – that’s a fact. But here LG is still in clarification, why I had to suffer such a bad result with Calman. Let’s come to the conclusion…
