Construction diary
In the practical test, we now want to find out whether the Masterbox 600 really is the jack-of-all-trades that COOLER MASTER wanted to create. In the hands-on test, the case left a rather pragmatic, almost bland impression, although everything “important” is on board. The following hardware was to be installed in the case for the practical test:
CPU, RAM and NVME were pre-assembled as usual and the board was quickly installed thanks to the centering nubs.
The same applies to the AIO, which was mounted in the lid in no time at all.
Installing the power supply unit was also straightforward, which in this case means that there was no need for a stupid mounting frame: There is no stupid mounting frame.
All cables inserted and connected. The feed-through in the power supply cover looks very good!
Unfortunately, the long graphics card sagged quite a bit, as you can see in the following picture:
To avoid such an ugly hanging graphics card, COOLER MASTER has included the new ATLAS graphics card support, which is made of solid metal, thick Plexiglas and colorful ARGB lighting. The magnetic base holds very well to the bottom of the case and the support feels very high-quality overall. Personally, it would certainly not be worth the asking price of just under €60, but there is nothing to complain about in terms of quality.
Hangs fixed:
Just quickly tie the cables together at the back:
And then it’s time for the test run!
Even if the housing has a very simple design and is not a haptic highlight, the finished system somehow radiates a certain minimalist elegance, doesn’t it?
