We recently reviewed this manufacturer’s new all-black flagship, but today we’re moving more in the direction of the upper mid-range, and it’s also allowed to have some colorful lighting. A decent cooling performance and still an unproblematic size for most mid towers is promised, so let’s check it out together!
Here we go to the already mentioned air cooler colossus:
Cooler Master MasterAir MA824 Stealth Review – A new, brute top performer
Packaging and scope of delivery
I think the mix of black, turquoise and pink should look familiar to most by now, as well as the large product image on the front.
I was a bit surprised about the interior, because they decided to use a full plastic casing. No shell made of cardboard or springy foam, as you often see.
The accessories are more familiar, with the usual small parts for the various sockets and a tube of the new CryoFuze thermal paste in the recess on the top.
An adapter to 5V ARGB as well as Y-splitters for connecting both fans to one connector on the motherboard are also included.
Mounting and installation
For the AM4 socket, we once again use the existing backplate of the motherboard and only replace the plastic brackets on the front with the matching spacers and frames from Cooler Master.
All that’s left to do is apply thermal paste, place the cooler on the processor and secure it in the threads of the brackets with two spring-loaded screws.
Specifications
As usual, here is still the overview of the technical details, more information can then be found on the product page at the manufacturer.
