If anyone is wondering why my output is currently a bit lower than usual, I can reassure them. I’m fit as a fiddle, but my input has gone way up for this. New graphics cards, a new half-year update of Windows 10, many game patches and new drivers once again make a complete reboot necessary. More DXR for all, optimized settings and logically also a complete new run to collect all data is in the end only a question of honesty. After several counter tests I decided to bury all old data for now, because it would be unfair in some games.
So I’ll start next week with 10 reference cards as a base first. Rather less, but neatly. If that doesn’t seem like much: There are 10 benchmarks with 3 resolutions each and even more, different settings. That ends up being quite a nice challenge. Since I generally measure everything in 3 runs with warmed up maps, that’s well over 1100 individual runs. And Jensen’s keynote with the already rumored launches starting next week is inexorably approaching.
Therefore, thanks also go to the team, which has buffered me some content over the weekend up to the certain data already well, so that you also get every day what to read. And the custom models of the pixelated unicorn brigade are ready and waiting to be ripped open. 🙂
