Measured values at idle and under full load
At 36.9 dB(A), Enermax’s new fans ran at a constant noise level when unregulated, which seems quite acceptable for an HTPC considering the power that can be called up. About the original volume of the card we politely keep silent, it was just nothing. If you also reduce the fan speed a bit in idle with a suitable software, you will be in the range of about 30 dB(A) and thus even in the top field.
A conversion is not only worthwhile, it is virtually a must for all those who still have some hearing strength.Measured values at idle and under full load. Temperatures remain within limits for both solutions, with our Enermax conversion cooling a bit more restrained under load. Here, the pressure is built up over a larger area, while the original fan centered on the hotspot blows more purposefully. In contrast, the voltage converters stay cooler after the conversion, and the heat distribution on the heatsink is also a bit more balanced than with the original ventilation. This is also expressed in the slightly lower idle temperatures.
