In the rapidly evolving field of graphics cards, AMD could take a big step forward by introducing a new Radeon RX 7600 XT graphics card with a more generous 16 GB of memory. This capacity would be double that of the current RX 7600 model. But the memory size alone is such a story in itself, because the memory interface does not grow with it.

The AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT is expected to be introduced in early 2024, possibly with twice the memory capacity compared to the Non-XT model. The current AMD Radeon RX 7600 is currently a solid mainstream product in this segment, but nothing more. The card offers performance on par with the RX 6600 XT, but is a bit more efficient and brings more innovative technologies. Still, there is a considerable gap between the RX 7600 and AMD’s latest 7700XT / 7800XT models.
According to reports from Benchlife, AMD could close this gap with the introduction of a new variant called Radeon RX 7600 XT. This graphics card could be positioned in the $300 to $350 price range, which would complete the lineup. The upgrade compared to the RX 7600 Non-XT would be twice the memory.
The exact RDNA 3 ASIC version used by this card is currently unknown. However, it is speculated that it could be based on a trimmed Navi 32 SKU, as the top Navi 33 SKU is already used by the Non-XT model. The decision to give the Navi 33 SKU the same specs as the RX 7600 while giving it twice as much memory could be unusual. Earlier preliminary listings have also shown the graphics card with 10 GB and 12 GB of memory.
It remains to be seen whether AMD actually plans to bring this card to market. We can still be curious whether the Radeon RX 7600 XT will live up to expectations and what impact it will have on the graphics card market.
