A little fun fact beforehand: Xilence was one of the first brands from which I (Tim, not Igor) tested a cooler several years ago. At that time I was not yet “firmly” on the road at IgorsLab! With really very reasonable prices Xilence has made a name for itself, until today they hold the #1 spot of the cheapest AiO watercooling with 240mm radiator. In this article, however, we will take a look at the current top model among air coolers, but a review of the current AiO offerings from this manufacturer will also follow soon.
Packaging and scope of delivery
The air cooler comes in a plain black and white box, with only a few colorful accents here and there in the form of the product series and country flags.
Protection during transport is shared by a layer of foam and several small cardboard boxes.
One of these boxes contains the accessories, which consist of the various mounting brackets and four fan clips.
A screwdriver and a small tube of thermal paste are also included.
Assembly and installation
As is often the case with the AM4 socket, the existing backplate of the motherboard is reused here as well. The plastic clips are removed before four spacers, four screws and the mounting bracket are then attached.
It is recommended to place the motherboard in a sideways position, otherwise the whole thing will be a bit fiddly. Not the easiest installation I’ve ever had, but definitely doable on my own without much trouble.
Specifications
Before going to the detailed views, here is the overview of the technical details. As always, more information can be found on the product page from the manufacturer.
