Two Golden Micro IP54 buttons are responsible for the mouse keys’ haptics. Their acoustics and those of the other keys can be listened to here. The volume was digitally increased afterwards.

Summary and conclusion
So the Aerox 3 2022 is more of an iterative improvement rather than a complete redesign. Functionally and haptically, the mouse can convince, and the software is also okay. By the way, the various openings and the translucent strip on the mouse’s edge create a nice “underglow” effect in the dark.
However, the competition does not sleep either. Sharkoon offers a very similar mouse with the Light² 180 that we also tested, but it has the better PWM 3360 sensor and is also cheaper. Not much, depending on the discount campaign, but still worth mentioning. However, if you’re already integrated into the Steelseries ecosystem through other peripherals, you can’t go wrong with the new Aerox 3.
