Sheng-Chang ‘Charles’ Chiang, General Manager and CEO of MSI dies by suicide

According to Chen Gwenwen, reporter for New Taipei Report, Sheng-Chang ‘Charles’ Chiang (Jiang Shengchang), general manager and CEO of the well-known notebook and motherboard manufacturer (MSI) in Zhonghe district, New Taipei City, died. He fell from the building in the afternoon of 7.7.2020 and died on the spot. According to the police, the background and circumstances still need to be investigated more closely. The employee who found him noticed several bruises and breaks as well as open wounds on his body. The possible use of medication and the reason for the suicide are still under investigation, but family members have not yet raised any objections to the preliminary established cause of death.

56-year-old Jiang Shengchang did not take over as CEO of MSI until January 2019.  Jiang Shengchang graduated from the Electronics Institute of Jiaotong University. Previously, he was Yangzhi Technology Associate and General Manager of the MSI Desktop Platform division and assumed the position of MSI General Manager and CEO in January 2019.
