The popular Ryzen Master Tool from AMD, which is often used by overclockers, has received a new update to version 2.13.0.2908. This version brings support for the recently released “Hawk Point” Ryzen 8000G APUs. This enhancement is particularly noteworthy in that it shows that APUs are in no way inferior to Ryzen 7000(X) CPUs in terms of overclocking. The new support makes it clear that Team Red is actively preparing for the release of these Zen 4 processors, as Ryzen Master receives basic support.
Release Highlights:
- Adds support for systems using AMD Ryzen 8000G Series desktop processors for the AM5 platform.
- Curve Optimizer values can now be applied on the fly (no system reboot required).
In addition to the integration of the new Ryzen 8000G APUs, the AMD Ryzen Master has been enhanced with a new feature aimed at making the software more user-friendly. For those unaware, AMD’s Curve Optimizer is a tool that allows users to experimentally optimize the performance of their CPU by fine-tuning the power supplied.
The feature has recently been significantly improved so that users can now adjust their CPU voltages directly without having to reboot the system. The adjusted values can now be applied on the fly. In addition, users can customize the curve to suit their individual preferences, be it for higher performance or higher efficiency. AMD’s CPUs are known to perform well even when underpowered. The new update is 260 MB in size and can be downloaded via the link.
