Summary
Apart from the already made evaluation of the performance, Powercolor leaves a predominantly positive impression on the RX 6700XT Hellhound 12 GB in the technical implementation and through the chosen cooling solution. The voltage transformer noises are a small drop of vermouth, because even if it never goes completely without – with a little effort one gets that with such power losses actually still quite well under control. Unfortunately, they didn’t. In return, the rest is okay, because the card can also score well in efficiency.
The cooling performance and the associated noise development is very good in the context of the power dissipation. The weight of under 1.2 kilos isn’t really a heavy pound either.
Conclusion
The current street price of 850 Euros for the black card is far above the MSRP for the much stronger RX 6800XT and thus unfortunately still much too high. When, how expensive and whether the white unicorn will be available on the German market at all, that one must still wait. The availability and the actual street prices far above the MSRP shouldn’t be due to Powercolor, TSMC has simply taken over and the retailer adds a lot of money. Especially as one hears that various things are also in short supply, which are otherwise needed for production. A causal chain with lots of unknowns.
The card was provided to igorsLAB by Powercolor under NDA for testing with the condition not to fall short of the specified release date until the AMD NDA falls. There was no possible influence of the manufacturer on the test and the results, nor was there any obligation to publish them.
