This is only the second time in almost 4 years that we have had to withdraw the award from an article. As much as we dislike doing such things, in the end it is always a matter of decency and respect for our readers to implement and explain such things. The item has an MSRP of 183 Euros, which is not justified by anything, and is also only sold exclusively via the NZXT store. During the entire test period and even on the day our test was published, the price was at a lowered 128 Euros. Even that is still plenty high and clearly above the prices of many competitors.
However, since the quality and also certain features like the increased load-bearing capacity spoke for this product, a purchase tip was given from our side, which we now have to withdraw again in view of the increased price. This does not detract from the qualities of the product and does not change the test result as such, but we will no longer recommend it due to the completely out-of-market price. That’s a shame, of course, but it can’t be helped when greed wins over reason.
At this point, we also have to emphasize that NZXT would have done well with a bit more sensitivity when it comes to pricing a relatively cheap purchased product. This is all the more disappointing since many of the manufacturer’s other products are at least offered within just acceptable prices. However, the current offer is so far removed from reality that I would recommend anyone who really wants to buy in such price ranges to go to the Edelstore of their office equipment supplier. Because for the price that is now (again) called, you can gladly buy in the professional segment. Even if it is much more expensive (and better).
