NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER GPU appears to have early support from the popular HWiNFO diagnostic program. HWiNFO has now added support for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER GPU, while at the same time rumors and leaks are increasing. That’s because reports of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 40 “SUPER” family of GPUs have been piling up in recent days, suggesting that NVIDIA may introduce a “refresh” series of the original Ada-Lovelace GPUs in the foreseeable future. Speculation about an update has been around for months, with initial speculation that NVIDIA would launch it as a “Ti” or “SUPER” version. However, it looks like NVIDIA might opt for the latter option.
Although there are rumors of various products to appear in the new lineup, the focus of this coverage is on the supposed NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER. There is speculation that there could be an “improved” version of the RTX 4080, suggesting that NVIDIA may be taking a pure “refresh” approach with Ada GPUs. However, these rumors gain credibility now that HWiNFO has support for the RTX 4080 SUPER. So, it seems that there is some underlying accuracy to these reports.
It is speculated that this graphics card could be equipped with either an AD102 or an AD103 GPU, depending on availability. It is rumored that the GPU could have at least 20GB of GDDRX memory and a 320-bit interface. However, if the RTX 4080 SUPER uses the AD103 GPU, it could have a lower VRAM capacity due to a limited 256-bit interface. It is of great importance to emphasize that the existence of “SUPER” GPUs has not been officially confirmed yet, regardless of the rumors in the industry.
For this reason, we cannot make any accurate statements about what products will be launched, what the final specifications will be and what prices can be expected. All of this information is merely speculation and conjecture at the moment. The company is known for finalizing things only shortly before the launch.
