Highest performance for AI in the data center

Micron’s 128GB DDR5 RDIMM enables up to 28% faster performance for AI training and inference, enabling data centers to tackle complex tasks such as image and speech recognition and machine learning much faster. The impressive 16% reduction in latency is particularly critical for memory-intensive workloads such as in-memory databases and real-time data analytics, where fast response times are essential for lag-free results.

DDR5 with maximum bandwidth and energy efficiency

In addition to good performance, the 128 GB DDR5 RDIMM also impresses with an impressive bandwidth of up to 8000 MT/s, which maximizes data throughput and eliminates bottlenecks in memory-intensive applications. In addition, the memory is characterized by special energy efficiency, which reduces power consumption by up to 24% and thus lowers the operating costs of data centers.

Micron’s 1β technology: Innovation for breakthrough density

The basis for Micron’s new 128GB RDIMM is the innovative 1β technology, which is based on 32Gb dies and enables a 45% improvement in wafer bit density. This technological achievement sets new standards in the industry and enables the integration of increased memory capacity in compact modules.

Optimized system performance for future data center infrastructures

Micron’s 128GB RDIMM helps to optimize the balance between CPU core count, memory capacity, bandwidth and performance, paving the way for a future-oriented data center infrastructure. The broad acceptance of these modules by industry leaders and customers underscores the importance of this innovation for the future of data centers.

Availability and compatibility

Micron’s 128GB DDR5 RDIMM memory is available now directly from Micron and will be available through select global channel distributors and resellers in June 2024. The memory is supported by a comprehensive ecosystem of leading companies including AMD, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Intel and Supermicro, ensuring seamless compatibility with popular server platforms.

Micron’s comprehensive data center memory portfolio

Micron offers a wide range of data center memory solutions in various form factors, including DDR5 RDIMMs, MCRDIMMs, MRDIMMs, CXL and LPDDR5x. This variety enables customers to find the optimal memory solution for their specific bandwidth, capacity and performance optimization requirements.
