The codename Meteor Lake has been associated with Intel’s next-generation Core processors in recent months, and this is largely due to leaks that have surfaced in 2022 and 2023. Recently, internal documents and benchmark data have been published confirming the existence of the Meteor Lake CPU family, which will power the upcoming 14th generation of the CPU. This will be the second generation of the Core series. The release of the laptop versions of the Meteor Lake processors is expected to take place in mid-2023, while the desktop units are scheduled for the fourth quarter of the same year.

However, there is also speculation that the release of the entire Meteor Lake lineup could be pushed back to 2024 due to a possible refresh of the Raptor Lake processors in mid-2023. It is important to note that this information is rumors and unconfirmed leaks. It is quite possible that Intel’s plans will change and that the actual release of the Meteor Lake processors will be different than previously assumed.
For this reason, this information should be treated with caution and one should wait for official announcements from Intel to get more detailed information. When the Meteor Lake processors actually hit the market, they are expected to offer a variety of improvements and upgrades over their predecessors. These new processors could offer higher performance, improved energy efficiency, and better integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies, to name a few. The Meteor Lake lineup could also offer improved graphics performance and support for new technologies like PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 RAM.
