AMD recently released the latest driver for Radeon, which includes support for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and AI acceleration for RDNA GPUs and APUs. The driver includes performance improvements and optimizations for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and DirectML. It is compatible with all RDNA GPUs and APUs, but not with older Polaris and Vega models. A separate driver version is available for these models, but it does not offer the same range of functions. The driver adds support for four games, with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III definitely being the highlight.
As well as adding support for various games, AMD has also added a new Radeon Boost profile for Alan Wake 2. This means that gamers who love the thriller game and need extra performance can now take advantage of it. In addition, improvements and optimizations have been made for DirectML, impacting AI applications such as Stable Diffusion, Adobe Lightroom, DaVinci Resolve and UL Procyon AI. Owners of a Radeon RX 7000/6000 GPU or a Radeon 700M/600M APU can take advantage of these benefits.
So far there is no information on whether the Radeon Anti-Lag feature, which was removed from driver releases due to its game-changing design and several reports of player bans, will be reinstated. Hopefully AMD will be able to resolve these issues soon so that we can use the anti-lag feature in an improved version in the future.
