Intel Core i5-8600K: Six mid-range cores

In the Time Spy CPU test, AMD's Ryzen 7 1700 is very positive, which can push itself well ahead of the new Core i5. The Ryzen 5 1600X doesn't make a bad figure either.

Even with Fire Strike, only the Core i7-8700K manages to break into the phalanx of Ryzen CPUs. The Core i5-8600K has to be further back.

The API overhead test of the 3DMark is rather mixed and the Core i5-8600K remains only the midfield (or the chance of strong overclocking).

Intel now dominates the VRMark for the first time, with the overclocked models really able to increase.
