Nowadays, you need good cooling for Gen 5 SSD storage media so that you don’t suddenly have an SSD that causes thermal problems due to the high heat, which is exactly why Jonsbo is introducing a new Gen 5 SSD cooler that provides a remedy, as ITHome reports.

SSDs are constantly evolving and the fifth generation or SSDs with PCIe 5.0 support also use significantly more power. The rule is always that what consumes a lot of power also generates a lot of heat. This is why many new SSDs come with a cooler or manufacturers recommend one, as otherwise there is a risk of throttling or, in the worst case, data loss.
The company Jonsbo presents its new M.2-7 SSD cooler, which can cool down your SSD. This comes with a dual heatpipe cooler and relies on an active fan. The cooler is said to be alloyed with an aluminum alloy. There are also two heat-conducting silicone pads that can prevent the problem of a drop in performance if the SSD memory collects a lot of heat. The design weighs around 115 g.
Of course, size matters. The fan is specified with a size of 25 x 25 x 100 mm. The fans have a rotation speed of 10,000 revolutions per minute (OMG!). If you’re worried that this cooler makes a lot of noise, don’t worry. The company states that the cooler generates a noise level of around 29.5 dBA. It also supports PWM speed regulation. The interesting thing is that the M.2-7 SSD cooler is equipped with an adjustable base. It is also compatible with single-sided and double-sided SSDs and comes with two thermally conductive silicone pads.

It is not yet known when the whole thing will appear on the market. For example, no price range has been mentioned either.
