According to XPG, the upcoming hybrid design is a patented dual-fan CPU cooler that integrates many functions into a single unit. It is important to note that this product is still far from its final design and should be considered an early prototype. Therefore, the final design may change drastically.

The hybrid CPU cooler from XPG initially presents itself as a conventional tower cooler, but has a lot more to offer internally. The entire unit houses an integrated pump, loop and radiator to achieve lower temperatures compared to standard designs. The CPU cooler has a single tower heatsink and a 120 mm radiator. The heatsink itself is equipped with several heatpipes that dissipate the heat from the CPU via a copper block.

The cooler is designed to support high-end CPUs from Intel and AMD, including Xeon and Threadripper chips. However, mainstream chips such as the Core and Ryzen family are also well supported by this cooler. Two 120 mm VENTO PRO PWM fans are used for cooling, which ensure very good and quiet air circulation as they were designed by Nidec.

To answer the question of why this cooler is needed, XPG states that their hybrid design is not only smaller, but also lighter than an all-in-one (AIO) water cooling system. The dual air/liquid mechanism also allows it to be more efficient than a normal air cooler. The company also offers RGB support with all known software ecosystems. There is no information on price and availability, but this Frankenstein cooler is a very unique product.
