As usual, the underside can be removed after removing the four small screws in the corners. Once again, the cable for the 2.5″ drive has to be taken into consideration.
A Kingston NV1 NVMe SS D has been installed here instead of the nameless OEM SSDs that are usually found in such systems. A thick thermal pad connects this to the mount of the optional SSD/HDD, according to Beelink this should lower temperatures by 6°C.
The RAM comes from Crucial, it is 2x 8GB 3200Mhz DDR4 of the type CT8G4SFS832A.C8FN. By the way, this is already marked as End of Life by the manufacturer, but this does not have any effective effects. Both slots are already occupied, and new sticks are necessary anyway if you want to upgrade up to 64 GB.
A Mediatek MT7921K card, which is located underneath the M.2 SSD, is responsible for wireless connectivity. Modern standards in the form of Wifi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 are supported. In contrast to the SER4, the small connecting cables of the SER5 are additionally fixed with black liquid glue.
As far as the cooler is concerned, everything remains the same. We have already seen the notebook-style fan on other models. We will test how it performs with its two heatpipes in combination with this CPU later.
