Bambu Lab A1 mini AMS lite 3D Printer Review – It probably won’t get much easier than this

I took my time with my test report as I like to wait for the first few updates, especially with brand new devices. Especially when, as here for Bambu Lab, it’s a “bed pusher” with completely new kinematics. Although this manufacturer has made a big claim that the era of this type of printer is over, they are now offering this 3D printer. Packaging and scope of delivery

This rather compact box contains both the 3D printer and the new “AMS lite” filament system. Plastic handles are attached to the sides, the letter carrier will be grateful.

When you open the lid, there is a lot to discover.

The easiest way to do this is to pull out the entire contents using the large plastic bag.

The manufacturer also provides a detailed video on how to set up this appliance if you don’t fancy the paper instructions.

However, I will of course still go into the most important details, so let’s continue step by step.

The scope of delivery is as extensive as it is small. Various tools, screws for the rest of the assembly, textured PEI pressure plate and PTFE hoses and brackets from the AMS lite. Some other parts are not shown in the picture, these will be shown during assembly.

In any case, it was a very practical and at the same time very clever business decision to provide a complete color palette with examples of the various Bambu Lab filaments. This naturally tempts buyers to stick with their own filament because they can see the color beforehand. Incidentally, the parts are not actually printed, but injection molded.

Including a small project that can be completed with the printer is also a really good idea. This also clearly shows the target group you are aiming at here. But I’ll come back to this point later.
