The AMD Ryzen 5 5600GT and 5500GT CPU specifications have been released by Gesci and Geizhals. The AMD Ryzen 5 5500GT is very similar to the already existing Ryzen 5 5500 CPU. Both chips are based on the Cezanne A1 die with 6 cores using a 7nm Zen 3 core architecture, 12 threads, 16 MB L3 cache and 3 MB L2 cache. The AMD Ryzen 5 5500GT has a base frequency of 3.60 GHz and a boost frequency of 4.4 GHz (compared to 4.2 GHz for the 5500). The Ryzen 5 5600GT has a base frequency of 4.6 GHz.
The new AMD Ryzen 5 3400G and Ryzen 3 3200G processors offer an additional boost clock that promises a noticeable increase in performance compared to the current non-GT chips. This is more than just a normal offer, especially for users switching from an older AM4 CPU. Both chips also feature the same Radeon “Vega” iGPU and come with a boxed Wraith Spire CPU cooler.
The AMD Ryzen 5 5600 GT and 5500GT CPUs are only compatible with 500-series motherboards such as the X570, B550 and A520, which must also be adapted with a BIOS firmware update. The prices for these CPUs are between 133.98 and 159.90 euros, while the Ryzen 5 5500 costs between 94.90 and 258.19 euros. Preliminary prices are expected to be significantly lower at launch. The retailer is also offering the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D boxed CPU for €271.00 to €281.00, compared to €292.00 to €609.00 for the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. Various AMD Ryzen processors are listed at GESCI. The Ryzen 5 5600GT is offered for 185.63 euros, the Ryzen 5 5500GT for 164.19 euros and the Ryzen 7 5700X3D for 328.58 euros.

Later this month, the latest AMD Ryzen 5000 desktop CPUs and APUs for the AM4 platform will be unveiled, along with the Ryzen 8000G “Hawk Point” APUs for the AM5 platform. AMD is expected to announce further details on these products at CES 2024.
