Conclusion
Corsair has managed the technical implementation of the panels quite well. The simple magnetic connectors make it virtually impossible to reverse the polarity of the connections, and all kinds of creative shapes can be modeled with them. The colors are very intense and the diffuse surface is nicely evenly lit. Due to the high number of LEDs per panel, it is also possible to realize quite impressive effects.
However, the magnets that hold the panels to the base could have been dimensioned a bit stronger because they might slip when you move the computer on the desk in more complicated setups.
Visually, the small Accent Lights add a lot of value to the case and due to their size and flexible arrangement, they can be used to highlight areas of the case that would otherwise be neglected. For RGB fanatics, the LC100s are definitely a nice and creative upgrade to the case. However, the price is also anything but decent: With 94.90€ for the optional expansion kit, respectively a whopping 119.90€ for the required starter kit, Corsair indeed calls up a pretty self-confident price for this (still) unique case accessory.
