The Predator BiFrost A770 is a unique custom build from the Acer team that just entered the DIY market with their first Intel Arc Alchemist GPUs. This special edition Acer model is actually one of the few A770s to offer 16GB of VRAM, a feature that comes standard on Intel’s own Limited Edition (reference design).
The Predator model features a custom design with two 8-pin power connectors, an increased TDP of 250 W (+25 W) and a higher base clock of 2.2 GHz (+100 MHz). The card is a dual-slot design with two fans, a mix of open-air (Aero Blade 3D) and fan cooling (FrostBlade). Also, this card is equipped with a steam chamber. This A770 16GB is currently available for $349, which is actually the same price as Intel’s Limited Edition. That’s 13% or $50 less than the original price for this model, which is still offered by other retailers, including Acer’s own webstore.
Intel is now working around the clock to improve its graphics drivers and the overall experience. The company has already released 4 drivers this year, which is more than NVIDIA and AMD.
